Re-Constructing Queensland
At The Australian Party campaign launch in Townsville on Sunday 11 March, Bob Katter and Aidan McLindon revealed the Party's plan for "Re-constructing Queensland".
The plan will see government under The Australian Party switch from "selling and spending" to "building and wealth generating".
It will create 60 000 new full time jobs over the next six years and see infrastructure investment of bewteen $20 and $25 billion.
At last we have an option for REAL change in Queensland.

Rural Fire Service
On Sunday March 26th Aidan McLindon announced an Australian Party policy to aid and assist the Rural Fire Service and it's volunteers. The Policy is based around

- PROVIDING PROPER FUNDING FOR OUR RURAL FIRE SERVICE APPLIANCES

Coal Seam Gas Policy

Live cattle exports - Notice of motion

Australian Party leader Bob Katter has today tabled a notice of motion in the House of Representatives in relation to live cattle exports to Indonesia.
Keep our State Assets
- The Australian Party will stop the Labor Party and the LNP selling off Queensland’s State owned power stations.
- We will stop any further sales of our strategic State owned assets and we will implement strategies to see a reversal of past asset sales where practicable.
Our state owned assets should be kept as state owned assets!

To provide fair grocery prices, fair farm gate prices and opportunity for owner operators, a competitive marketplace must exist. This can not take place when only two players control nearly all the retail dollar.

No to Carbon Tax - Practical Solutions: Ethanol
The Australian Party will reverse a carbon tax and prevent either the Labor or the Liberals parties from introducing an emission trading scheme (ETS). If either has already been enacted before the next Federal election we will use all the voting power the people of Australia give us to have it removed.
Free Trade

Trade in Food and Live Animals
Ten years ago Australian food exports were 400–500 % higher than imports. They are now barely twice the size of imports. If live animals and processed grain were taken out of these figures, the picture would be far more dire. We are already a net importer of fruit and vegetables, pork, and seafood.
Sale of State Assets
Despite a government promise that the toll on Brisbane’s Gateway Bridge would be temporary, it remains. Why? Government has sold this asset off and now Brisbane commuters will pay about $40 every week, indefinitely, for good!
Aust: a net importer of food
The Australian Bureau of Statistics shows that ten years ago Australian food exports were 400% higher than imports. They are now only 100% higher. This means Australia’s food surplus is reducing by 30% per year, within 3 ½ years we will be a net importer of food.
Understand clearly: This means that within 4 years Australia will not be able to feed
itself.
