Agricultural output threatened by Bligh/Newman's coal seam gas rush

State Leader of the Australian Party, Aidan McLindon, today said that the continued rush by the ALP and LNP to support coal seam gas developments at the expense of the
agricultural industry was the biggest threat to food production in Queensland.

Mr McLindon added that the Australian Party would enact a one year moratorium on all further coal seam gas development to allow scientific testing to determine the industry’s impact on water supply and the Great Artesian Basin.
