Nick Dametto grew up on a cane farm just outside of Ingham, in the heart of the Hinchinbrook electorate.


Like most Australians, Nick had a humble upbringing. Raised by his hardworking single mum Lois, he learnt that if you want things in life, you work for them.

Robbie Katter

Robbie Katter is KAP’s State Leader, and is the current Member for Mount Isa. With the boundaries for many of Queensland’s electorates changing, Robbie is now standing for the seat of Traeger, which includes his home town of Mount Isa and Charters Towers, where he was born and raised.

Shane Knuth

Like most Australians, Shane Knuth has had to work for everything he has.

He was born in Tully, the third of five children.

Shane is KAP’s Member for Dalrymple, and he has been elected to the Queensland Parliament three times since first winning his community’s support in 2004.
